Just pondering on what a year of change it seems to be for everyone...Us, well we're moving to K-town (Hooray!) and I'm starting a new job. I now know FIVE couples that have got engaged this year, two of them being very good friends of ours, and three people who are having babies.

People, save some news for next year! Otherwise 2008 will be real dull!

I remember 1997 being kinda transitional too...maybe people realise that the decade is starting to draw to a close and they need t finish it in a different place to where they started. No, really!)

So, yesterday we took a road trip down to Brighton for the day. It was Varnia's idea and we roped in Llew and Leanne to fill those empty spaces in the car. My New Year's Resolution was to visit the seaside very month, so this was April's slot.

We sat on the beach, had a little paddle and ate fish 'n' chips. Then we met some of Llew's friends, Chris and Smiley and drank beer on the seafront (I didn't..). Then, even better, we hooked up with my crazy ex-boss Joanne and her friend Kurt and went on the rollercoaster on the pier! Hooray!

Got back to Kennington in time for a BBQ at Scouse + Windell's house, with Rich 'n' Rich, Ant 'n' Kay, Joel and Olly.

All on top of finding out Sunday that one of our favourite couples in the WORLD! have got engaged!!! (our other favourite couple - Alex and Annabel - are also engaged! woo-hooo!!) and having some quality partying time on Sunday night with Ems and Redfunky and the BDD crew.

I'm tired but happy.

Lottie's joined a gym under the railway bridge, who very kindly have given me three days' free membership. So, we went for a swim in their beautiful, if small, pool and sat in the jacuzzi for a little while.

Then a coffee and off to meet Nathan from work. Name a movie that you’ve seen multiple times in the theater.
Shrek - it ran for ages and I was working in the cinema at the time. So I just to go watch it in my breaks.

3. Name an actor that would make you more inclined to see a movie.
Ewan McGregor

4. Name an actor that would make you less likely to see a movie.
Used to be Adam Sandler until The Wedding Singer. Rob Schneider though, definitely.

5. Name a movie that you can and do quote from.
Trainspotting. All the time.

6. Name a movie musical that you know all of the lyrics to all of the songs.
oh good grief...I don't know any. Except maybe SoM, and Chicago
and
Oliver
West Side Story (with a few exceptions)
Most of Rocky Horror
Moulin Rouge
and a fair bit of The Producers, My Fair Lady and pretty much all of (but it's not a movie) Once More With Feeling

That's all.

7. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with.
see all above.

8. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see.
Can I say SoM again? I am notorious for forcing people to watch it.

9. Name a movie that you own.
Oh, way too many. The last movie we bought was Pan's Labyrinth.

10. Name an actor that launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops.
Errm..that's tough because they really rarely impress me. Elle McPherson in Friends was OK.

11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in? If so, what?
No, sadly

12. Ever made out in a movie?
Who hasn't?!

13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven’t yet gotten around to it.
Not sure. We tend to go to the cinema a fair bit and have DVD night with Ant every week...

14. Ever walked out of a movie?
No, I will sit through anything cause I'm an optimist. A lot of movies taht i didn't pay for I tended to go wandering about the foyer in the middle.

15. Name a movie that made you cry in the theater.
Pay it Forward. Twice.

16. Popcorn?
urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh no. Never since working for the cinema.

17. How often do you go to the movies (as opposed to renting them or watching them at home)?
about once a fortnight.

18. What’s the last movie you saw in the theater?
Hot Fuzz!

19. What’s your favorite/preferred genre of movie?
Dark comedy e.g. anything by Wes Anderson

20. What’s the first movie you remember seeing in the theater?
Transformers

21. What movie do you wish you had never seen?
I don't know. Battlefield Earth and Matchpoint are probably the worst films I've ever seen but we got so much entertainment from the retelling of them...
I might say Scarface for the mental scarring (no pun intended) from the chainsaw scene.

22. What is the weirdest movie you enjoyed?
Happiness of the Katakuris. Japanese Horror musical with animation!

23. What is the scariest movie you’ve seen?
The Others.

24. What is the funniest movie you’ve seen?
oh so many. Possibly Shaun of the Dead. The first film I remember finding hysterically funny was The Naked Gun when I was about eight., even though I didn't get all the jokes.
